CSRC Preceptor Course: PEEPs

Upon completion, this course can be claimed as 4 CE hours under the RCP Leadership requirement.

RCB of California accepting this course as 4 CEs.

After completing this course, a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner may receive Continuing Education (CE) credit for hours spent precepting students enrolled in a respiratory education program. A preceptor is responsible for providing direct supervision and clinical instruction to students. 

This course is approved by the CSRC.

  • The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be able to:
  • Assimilate (develop) a new appreciation and energy as a student preceptor.
  • Utilize adult learning theories to maximize the student's clinical learning experience.
  • Apply various strategies and tools to facilitate a positive clinical learning environment for the respiratory care student.
  • Discuss and utilize the Respiratory Care Board of California's new regulations on obtaining continuing education for precepting students.
